Although poker chips are typically made of plastic, a clay composite or ceramic material, there is another option for the poker fan that has everything: Geoffrey Parker, luxury game maker located in London, is selling a specialty poker set priced at $7.5 million. The poker set features outfitted with white gold combination lock, an alligator skin case. The set includes four sets of poker cards that are plated in platinum. It also includes 384 poker chips.
Made of 18 carat white gold, the poker chips are inlaid with shagreen, a rare material made from stingray skin. The edges of the poker chips are edged with precious gems, including diamonds, black diamonds, sapphires emeralds and rubies, which allows the edges of the chips to reflect the different colour strips of white, blue, red, green and black.
There are over 22,000 gems inset in the edges of the poker chips, consisting of more than 1,000 carats in precious gems. If you’d like to order yourself a set, be prepared to wait approximately nine months for the set to be created for you.
